About the Soundtrack

The musical universe of Walt Disney Animation Studios' Hexed pairs the sweeping cinematic scoring of veteran composer John Debney with an energetic soundtrack curated under the music clearance supervision of Carrie Tretteen. Renowned for defining the fantastical orchestrations of Disney classics such as Hocus Pocus and The Jungle Book, Debney constructs a vibrant thematic soundscape that captures both the humorous suburban friction between Billie and her mother Alice and the awe-inspiring mysteries awaiting them in the witch haven of Hexe.

In addition to Debney's full orchestral score, the film's promotional campaign and official trailers introduce a sharp, contemporary rock and pop-punk edge. Key featured needle drops include Paramore's Grammy-winning anthem "Ain't It Fun" alongside the electro-rock mashup "Edge of Midnight (Midnight Sky Remix)" by Miley Cyrus featuring rock legend Stevie Nicks, setting a rebellious, modern rhythm for Billie Doe's magical awakening.
