Guarding Stars Soundtrack (2026)

The official original motion picture score by Original Score is scheduled to premiere alongside the film on Netflix in 2026. This section will be updated with full track information, composer commentary, and streaming links as soon as the score album is officially announced.

Directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum (Purple Hearts), Netflix's holiday romantic comedy Guarding Stars brings Katherine Center's popular novel to the screen with a sharp script penned by screenwriting duo Richard Keith and Erin Cardillo. The storyline centers on Hannah Brooks (played by Leighton Meester), an executive protection agent whose disciplined world gets upended when she takes on an assignment shielding charismatic movie superstar Jack Stapleton (Jared Padalecki) during his family holiday retreat.

Setting the playful, seasonal mood in the first official promotional trailer is country sensation Megan Moroney with her festive holiday track "All I Want for Christmas is a Cowboy". Released as part of her holiday collection Blue Christmas ...duh, the song pairs infectious acoustic twang with lighthearted storytelling, providing the ideal sonic accompaniment to the comedic clashes and blossoming romance between a stoic bodyguard and a high-profile Hollywood heartthrob.

In addition to contemporary country needle drops, Guarding Stars features an upcoming original motion picture score designed to underscore the emotional beats and comedic pacing across the festive holiday backdrop. The production also features an ensemble supporting cast including Andie MacDowell, country artist Walker Hayes, Noah LaLonde, and pop vocalist Ava Max.
