About the Soundtrack

The musical architecture of Steps reimagines fairy tale conventions through a spirited, humorous, and contemporary lens. Directed by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa, the Netflix animated feature partners with Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated composer Kris Bowers to craft an expressive orchestral landscape that balances regal ballroom elegance with high-energy fantasy adventures.

Working in tandem with Bowers is acclaimed music supervisor Kier Lehman, renowned for landmark soundtracks including Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Insecure. Together, the creative team weaves nostalgic alt-rock and timeless pop anthems into the film’s promotional rollout, establishing an irreverent, rebellious attitude that befits Cinderella’s unconventional stepsisters.

Featured trailer music and upcoming score selections listed above include verified streaming information across Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music, and will expand as Netflix confirms the full official soundtrack release schedule.
