7 TracksAbout Oscar Shaw & The Soundtrack
Oscar Shaw is an explosive action thriller directed by R. Ellis Frazier and Justin Nesbitt, from an adrenaline-fueled screenplay by Don Roff. The film stars celebrated martial artist and action powerhouse Michael Jai White as the titular Oscar Shaw, a retired detective whose peaceful life is shattered following the violent death of his former partner and best friend.
Refusing to stand idly by while corrupt institutions sweep the murder under the rug, Shaw embarks on a relentless path of retribution. Backed by standout supporting performances from Tyrese Gibson and Isaiah Washington, the 93-minute thriller blends gritty close-quarters combat choreography with intense neo-noir detective tension reminiscent of classic 1970s and '80s action cinema.
Distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films in collaboration with Toric Films, the soundtrack features driving blues-rock, gritty soul, and propulsive urban production cues from veteran composers Bruce Maginnis, Terry Devine-King, Steve Levine, and Matt Goodman that highlight the movie's relentless pacing.
