Heated Rivalry Season 1 Soundtrack

Created and directed by Jacob Tierney, Heated Rivalry chronicles the intense on-ice conflict and covert romantic connection between Major League Hockey phenoms Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. Spanning eight years from their rookie debuts to seasoned stardom, the series navigates the emotional pressure cooker of professional athletics, media scrutiny, and hidden vulnerability.

Original Score by Peter Peter

The original instrumental score is composed by Canadian singer-songwriter and electronic producer Peter Peter (Peter Roy). Infusing shimmering analog synthesizers, driving rhythmic pulses, and intimate melodic motifs, his compositions heighten the adrenaline of fast-paced arena hockey while providing a warm, contemplative undercurrent for the private moments between Shane and Ilya. His featured composition “It's You” stands out as a key musical anchor for their evolving relationship.

Music Supervision by Scotty Taylor

Music supervisor Scotty Taylor curates an eclectic and evocative soundtrack that spans Canadian indie-rock, contemporary alternative pop, and francophone classics. The series features standout tracks from artists including Feist, Wet Leg, Wolf Parade, Dilly Dally, Alfa Rococo, Baxter Dury, and La Bronze, alongside unexpected cultural touches such as t.A.T.u.'s “All The Things She Said” and Beethoven's “Waldstein” Piano Sonata. Each selection mirrors the emotional dissonance and unspoken longing driving the narrative forward.
