The story follows Dr. Kessi Aaron (played by Tatjana Marjanovic) and a group of brilliant but reckless medical students who discover a groundbreaking way to capture images of what the human eye sees only in the fleeting moments of a blink, frames usually lost to darkness. Their experiments reveal a horrifying alternate dimension layered beneath reality, inhabited by grotesque, malevolent entities that prey on humans.

The plot intensifies as Kessi’s secret love, Frank (Brandon Pitts), falls into a semi-comatose state after a mysterious accident linked to a drug called X38, which allows users to journey into this “in-between” dimension. As Frank’s condition worsens and gruesome deaths mount, Kessi and her team race against time to uncover the truth and stop the dark entity that has crossed into their world.
