Who Composed Stopmotion Soundtrack?
Lola de la Mata, a conceptual sound artist, composer, curator, and musician (proficient in violin, voice, and theremin), was born in London with French/Spanish roots. She actively engages in collaborative performances alongside fellow musicians, dancers, and queer performance artists, including recent collaborations with Eve Stainton.
Central to her artistic exploration are tinnitus and aural diversity, which drive her research and inspire the creation of musical instruments crafted from glass, metal, and ceramics.
Lola has been commissioned by esteemed entities such as the Riot Ensemble, Zubin Kanga, Nonclassical, Lisson Gallery, and Spitalfields Music Festival. Furthermore, she has contributed soundtracks to experimental films, documentaries, and the acclaimed feature film STOPMOTION by Robert Morgan.
