Older, Hotter, Wiser is Peacock’s latest short-form comedy series, created by and starring social media sensation Serena Kerrigan. As part of Peacock’s Emerging Artist Series, this seven-episode miniseries brings Kerrigan’s signature dating advice and candid humor to a scripted, road trip narrative that explores self-discovery, empowerment, and the blurred lines between online persona and real life.

The story follows Serena Kerrigan, playing a heightened version of herself, as she embarks on a cross-country journey from New York to Los Angeles with her real-life boyfriend, Felix Levine. The impetus? A logistical blunder: a large, pink coffin needed for her sold-out one-woman show in LA can’t be flown, forcing the couple to drive it across the country in just seven days. What starts as a practical solution quickly spirals into a chaotic adventure, filled with mishaps, like accidentally filling the car with diesel fuel, and emotional detours that force Serena to confront her past, her relationship, and the authenticity of her carefully crafted influencer image.

Each episode, running 8–14 minutes, interweaves snippets from Serena’s live stage performance with vignettes from the road trip, echoing the format of classic sitcoms like Seinfeld where stand-up routines frame the narrative.

At its core, Older, Hotter, Wiser is about more than just reaching Hollywood. It’s a candid look at the challenges of balancing public image with personal growth. Serena’s journey is as much internal as it is physical, as she grapples with self-doubt, internet trolls, and the pressure to live up to her “confidence creator” persona. Felix Levine, both on- and off-screen partner, provides support and comic relief, but the spotlight remains firmly on Kerrigan’s evolution.

Produced by Tandem Pictures and directed by Sam McConnell, Older, Hotter, Wiser benefits from Kerrigan’s hands-on involvement as creator, star, and executive producer. The show is a product of Peacock’s Creator Accelerator Program, designed to spotlight next-generation digital storytellers.

While reviews note that the humor and advice can sometimes feel one-dimensional or forced, the series is praised for its authenticity and willingness to tackle the messiness of modern self-empowerment. For fans of Kerrigan’s viral content, the show offers a new, if imperfect, platform for her distinctive voice.
