Sam Levinson is taking Euphoria in a completely different direction for Season 3 (2026). The high school drama is officially over, replaced by a five-year jump that finds the characters struggling with the realities of being in their early twenties. Zendaya is back as Rue Bennett, but this time she's in Mexico, trying to figure out a life that feels miles away from the chaos of East Highland. Most of the original cast returns, including Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, while new additions like Sharon Stone and Natasha Lyonne add some serious weight to the show's transition into adult territory.
One of the biggest changes this year is on the musical front. Labrinth, the man who created the show's signature sound, isn't back as the primary composer. Both he and Levinson decided it was time for a fresh perspective, allowing Labrinth to focus on his solo music and international tours. This means the show's iconic mix of synths and choirs is evolving into something different. Even with this change, the Music Supervision team is keeping things interesting, starting with Louis Armstrong's "Go Down Moses" in the trailer, which sets a heavy, almost epic tone for the episodes ahead.

The music in the first episode, titled "Ándale," does a great job of showing just how much has changed for everyone. One of the best moments is seeing Rue drive through the desert while singing Christopher Cross's "Ride Like the Wind" — it's a simple, effective scene that hits home. On the other hand, the show isn't afraid to go from the heavy metal of Schwarzer Engel straight into the weirdly perfect choice of Patti Page for Cassie’s latest social media fixation. Moving between Marvin Gaye’s classic soul and the acoustic pop of Ed Sheeran shows that this new chapter is all about moving forward while still carrying the weight of the past.

As Season 3 moves along, it's clear that the music will keep playing a huge part in why we watch. Even without Labrinth in the driver's seat, the selection feels right for where the characters are now.
