At the heart of Code of Silence is Alison Brooks, played by Rose Ayling-Ellis, a smart and determined Deaf woman working in a police canteen. Alison juggles two jobs to support herself and her Deaf mother, Julie. Her life takes a dramatic turn when her exceptional lip-reading skills catch the attention of the police. DC Ashleigh Francis (Charlotte Ritchie) and DI James Marsh (Andrew Buchan) recruit Alison to help surveil a dangerous gang plotting a high-stakes heist.
Alison’s unique abilities quickly become crucial to the investigation, but things get complicated when she develops feelings for Liam Barlow (Kieron Moore), one of the main suspects. Torn between her growing attachment and her duty, Alison is thrust into a world of crime, deception, and personal risk, refusing to walk away even as the stakes escalate.
