Catherine Ravenscroft, portrayed by two-time Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett, is a prominent journalist known for exposing the misdeeds of others. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she receives a novel from an anonymous author, revealing that she is the central figure in a story that uncovers her darkest secrets.
As Catherine races to identify the writer, she must confront her past, which threatens to unravel her relationships with her husband Robert, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, and their son Nicholas, portrayed by Kodi Smit-McPhee. The narrative unfolds over seven episodes, with the first two available on launch day followed by weekly releases.
The cast of Apple‘s Disclaimer featured actors such as Kevin Kline as Stephen Brigstocke, a retired teacher with a vendetta against Catherine. Lesley Manville plays Nancy Brigstocke, Stephen’s late wife, while Louis Partridge takes on the role of Jonathan Brigstocke. Production began in June 2022 across various locations including London, Mexico, and Sydney. Filming wrapped up in February 2023, with additional scenes shot in South Africa later that year.
